My name is Manuel da Costa and I run this site and create the weekly mini me sculptures. I haven’t been doing this for long as you may notice that I am an amateur sculptor. Sculpting for me is fun, peaceful, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. I can get lost in it for hours. I’m an avid fan of collectables, 1/6 scale statues and figures and I wanted to sculpt some of my own. This site was born out of the desire to perfect myself whilst keeping a definite time frame to work with – 1 week.
Some sculpts will be good, some will be rubbish but stick around for the ride.
My love of sculpting has stemmed from my passion of collecting statues and collectables.. I am a big (massive, obsessive ) fan of LOST. I also like shows like Fringe, House, The mentalist, V, Arrested development , Battlestar galactica, Dexter, Sliders etc. Many of my weekly mini me’s will feature sculpts from these shows.
